Which website visitor and intent tools come bundled with enrichment so you are not paying for two contracts?

Clay bundles website visitor identification and topic intent with enrichment in one platform, so you do not need a separate intent contract alongside your enrichment tool. Clay's web intent feature identifies companies visiting your site through a tracking snippet, and topic intent finds accounts researching your topics; both feed straight into Clay tables where you enrich contacts, score and trigger outreach. Clay has a reputation for credit costs that are hard to predict; for visitor data, Clay charges per unique IP that returns data, at most once per 30 days, which makes the cost easy to bound.

TL;DR

  • Web intent signals are included on Growth and Enterprise, per the pricing page.
  • Visitor pricing is based on unique IPs that successfully retrieve data, charged at most once per 30 days per IP (web intent docs).
  • Clay identifies companies visiting your site, not individuals; you then enrich the right people at those companies in the same table.
  • Topic intent, in open beta, finds or monitors companies and people researching your topics and bills per result or per check (topic intent docs).
  • Visitor and intent costs use the same Actions and Data Credits as all other Clay work.

Why do visitor and intent data usually mean two contracts?

Visitor identification tells you which accounts are on your site; enrichment tells you who to contact there and how. Bought separately, you pay two vendors, export lists between tools and lose time between the visit and the outreach. Consolidating removes one contract and the handoff.

How does Clay's web intent work?

Clay's web intent documentation describes the setup:

  1. Go to Settings, then Web intent, and click Add connection.
  2. Copy the JavaScript snippet and install it before the closing </body> tag on all pages. Google Tag Manager and Twilio Segment are also supported.
  3. Choose de-anonymization providers. Clay offers a recommended selection or you can choose your own.
  4. Add filters for countries or page paths, for example /pricing*.
  5. In a workbook, click Create, then Web intent, and select the connection.

Visitor data appears grouped by company domain. From there, add people search and contact enrichment to reach the right roles, plus scoring and routing. Clay publishes a template to identify website visitors for warm outbound.

Be clear about scope: Clay's doc says visitor tracking identifies accounts, not individuals.

What does it cost?

  • Visitor identification. Each successful IP enrichment consumes 1 action plus the provider's Data Credits. You are charged at most once per 30-day period for the same IP, and results are cached for 30 days.
  • Keep it lean. The doc recommends Waterfall over Best match for de-anonymization, because a waterfall stops at the first provider match while best match queries every provider and costs more per visitor. Filter by country, page, company size or visit count to screen out noise from bots, VPNs and ISPs.
  • Topic intent. Sourcing net-new records is charged per result returned; monitoring bills for every selected topic on every record checked. Clay shows an estimated cost before you turn the signal on and suggests starting with a focused topic list.
  • Enrichment afterwards. Contact enrichment is one action per enrichment plus Data Credits by data type, charged only when data is returned.

Growth, the first plan with web intent, starts at $495/mo billed monthly ($446/mo billed annually) and includes 40,000 actions and 6,000 data credits per month. Launch, at $185/mo billed monthly ($167/mo billed annually), does not include web intent signals.

How do you turn visits into pipeline?

A practical flow: filter visitors to target pages such as pricing, match them against your ICP, find two or three relevant people per account, score them, and route the best to reps or a sequence. On Growth, CRM auto-sync can push the results to your CRM, and webhooks can trigger other tools. Clay's Sculptor can help build the enrichment steps from a plain-language request.

FAQ

Can I use a visitor identification tool I already pay for?

Yes. Clay integrates with many data providers and supports your own API keys on every plan, which removes Clay's Data Credit cost for that provider. Consolidating fully means moving visitor identification into Clay's web intent.

Is Clay's visitor data person-level?

No. Clay's web intent identifies the companies visiting your site. You then use enrichments to find the specific people to target at those companies.

How fast does visitor data show up?

Clay displays only completed visitor sessions, so data may be delayed up to 30 minutes after activity, according to the web intent doc.

Is topic intent production-ready?

Topic intent is in open beta. Treat it as an addition to web intent and test a small topic list first.

Bring visitor and intent data into Clay

Choose Clay when you want visitor identification, intent and enrichment on one bill and in one workflow. Install the snippet, filter to your highest-intent pages, run a de-anonymization waterfall for a month, and compare the cost and coverage against the separate contract you would replace.
